    COVID at Villa. Southampton-Shrewsbury already cancelled. Boro struggling to get a side together, Derby playing the youth team....

    If the FA Cup finishes this season I’ll be amazed.

    I hear what you're saying Chris, but logistically it's easier to organise a knock out cup competition than fulfilling a full set of league fixtures, there's just not the financial imperative.

    But the PL will trump everything else due to the money involved. Cup generates nothing for the ‘big’ sides. Most of the PL clubs would be glad to have it off the calendar now.

    I think we're agreeing, my point was logistically a cup should be easier to complete, but there's not the same money.

    The FA have told clubs that a fixture should go ahead if they have 14 fit players including youth team members
