As long as we keep Mowatt I'm not really bothered. And they’ve ended up with Ched Evans too. Not sure I can see them making the play offs given that 3 spots are almost certainly taken bt the teams that came down from the Prem and probably Brentford.

I'd be interested to know how much Doncaster settled for, in the end.

Have we unwittingly facilitated this transfer by loaning them Simoes for the season?

Let’s make a late move! We need a replacement for James.

tbf we don't really need central midfielders. ball goes straight over em.

I'm quite happy with Mowatt, Kane, Palmer, Styles all as choices for the choices for the two places in midfield.

Agree. There comes a time when you have be bold and give players a chance. Otherwise why bother having a squad? It's all if's but if Mowatt left then try and sign a central midfielder.

Main priority was left back which I'm lead to believe Kitching can do and up front which is where Morris will play. James wasn't ours anyway so if we don't bring anyone else in or don't sell anyone it's been a decent window.

Agree with that, no harm in trying for another CM on loan from the prem though IMO, just so we can keep things fresh. Maybe an old head who could come on and help close a game out but not necessarily required for the full 90.

Palmer looks a very good player from the very few times I’ve seen him. Think we’re ok in that department as you say.

I would have not thought so , Whiteman & Simoes are totally different types of player who play in different positions .

Whiteman to Preston? As long as Alex Mowatt stays with us, I think we have the best deal.

From the little I have seen of Whiteman he looks an excellent prospect. Pity we appear to have missed out on him.

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on in that Preston side.

I wouldn't be surprise if Mowatt ends up at Preston in the summer as it appears their whole midfield seems to be out of contract at the end of the season.

Debatable, if that was the case they would be going for mowatt wouldn't they? We certainly need another central midfielder just to be safe, mowatt blows hot and cold and Iv not seen enough of Palmer or Kane.

Apparently Ben Pearson is moving to the Premier league and/or interest from the continent. I was shocked too but good luck to him if it comes off. I agree Ben Whiteman looks a good player.
