question about the new variant, Chris Whitty says the threat at the moment is "extraordinarily high" if people do not adhere to the lockdown rules.

He says vaccinations will reduce the risk going forward but only "by degrees" and the restrictions will not disappear in a "single bound".

Some curbs may be needed next winter, he adds, citing the number of people who die each year from flu.

    Depressing stuff.

As has been said on here many times by different people, we will never have back our old pre March 2020 life.

    Where is the service revolver?

If that is the truth we are completely finished. It makes Brexit look like a bit of back ache.

I mailed some CDs to Germany today & had to fill out customs forms. I thanked Farage & Tiny Johnson as I filled them out.

If we weren't so many points ahead of Sheffield Wednesday, things would look dire.

It's not going away in the way the common cold doesn't go away, problem with Covid 19 is it's much more likely to make you seriously ill or indeed kill you than a cold. Let's just hope it doesn't mutate as readily as the cold virus because if it does develop in that way the vaccines will be about as useful as a chocolate fire guard.

So the only thing left is to look for effective treatment.
