Ive been puzzling how they have kept Peter Sallis' voice wondering if they are old ads brought up to date with the same storyline.
A bit of googling and have found out that it is a 43 year old actor doing a voiceover.
    Ben Whitehead.
He has been doing Wallace since about 2010.
That being the case I have been fooled for ten years thinking that Sallis was still doing it somehow.
The "new" guy is brilliant and I wouldnt have had a clue that it wasnt Sallis. A very remarkable likeness !!!

Talking of remarkable likeness, has anyone seen that Mrs Browns lookalike that frequents these parts?

Scroll down on the pictures & you'll see what I mean.

I always assumed Peter Sallis was a Yorkshireman, Londoner by all accounts.

Much as I liked the gentle humour of Summer Wine I thought the script never got it right with Compo.
They got it wrong many times with his "thees and thas ".
All see tha in a minute.
    What thee doing.
Unless of course Yorkshire is spoken like that in the Huddersfield area.

Born in Twickenham, but buried in Yorkshire.
My dad was a member there and The Ship. I remember as a kid queuing up outside to get my day-trip spending money....
