I am in Singapore , but I have followed the rules here to the letter. The repurcussions for not doing so are too great not to.

I am though now OK with mask wearing as an aside

So in summary from the results, at the moment a massive 76% of us have confirmed to the top three categories from the outset - where in some cases we fundamentally disagree with them - it hasn’t got us very far, has it?

I intend to sit in the garden with my parents for an hour on Christmas Eve, that was the plan before yesterday, and the infection rates in our respective areas have gone down since the original advice was given about Christmas, so I make no apology.

I think the vast majority have followed the rules as best they can given human nature. Short of following the Chinese model of rounding up people with positive tests and locking them in field sanitariums you can’t do much more.
Ever time the daily numbers are released there’s a flurry of haters complaining about people not following the rules, it’s frankly f@cking tedious.

I think there are times when the letter of the law has to be broken in the light of common sense. i.e family member ill, in need. If you didn't go a health professional would do, so that would be the same risk.

PS, if Matt Hancock was questioned on such a situation as I outlined, he would blabber for a bit & then say "the rules have to be obayed at all times".

Actually you are allowed exceptions for care or medical assistance so you may well not be breaking the rules in those circumstances

Think the categories could do with a bit more thought. I came lower down the list than I think I am. Mainly because there were a couple of rules that I should have followed that I thought were stupid and no risk to myself or others so I ignored them. It would be also interesting to see what age group voted for what. But this does give a quick snapshot of attitudes. I am surprised at the rate of compliance. People must be scared stiff or just do what they are told to.

I’ve tried to keep up with the rules so I don’t break them but it’s not always easy as the messaging is all over the place.

Not sure how sone people live with themselves. my uncle is in hospital cancer then caught Covid and has been given days and my auntie and his kids can’t go and see him and then you see idiots in Tesco too precious to wear a mask.

And this is why I've largely complied , not because I'm scared stiff or just do as I'm told.
