Don’t like this Radio Sheffield coverage today

Our iFollow but half of it will be cutting away for other scores.

Got to say nether did I. I found the combination of Fallon and Giddings absolutely boring. I switched the sound off.

 

Giddings was loving us losing imho

I thought we got to hear more of what was happening on the pitch even with going to the other grounds for a round up.

 

They have the demagraphics (?) wrong for us. They are playing to wider geographial audience. So we hear the spireites, donny, millers as well as the two majors. This makes our coverage boring. I'd rather look for the results of the other lot after our match. Basically, I don't care about the other teams or commentators who don't care about us. We are locked into the BBC's business plan. Fuckem. Are we locked into them?

 

Thought it was Adam Oxley today?

 

Can I ask a question of Matt or Whitey or whoever may have the answers.

Why do we get BBC Sheffield on iFollow?

(maybe it is deemed to be overkill to have two groups involved. Maybe Matt feels like a break. Maybe it is contractual)

 

I just assumed there were limits on how many press could be in the ground, or restrictions on people travelling into Wales

 

Less is better. We can see what is happening on the pitch. A bit of validation from Barnsley people is welcome. I'm liking Wayne with Matt.

 

Back in pre-COVID times, our three-man team would travel in the same car to away games with Keith (photographer) and Matt. Because we three are part of the club's COVID testing programme and work in red zone areas of stadia, we can't share a car with others like that anymore. So it's down to the other guys to make their own way there, in the amber zone.

So if Matt can't make it, we have to either use no audio at all, or plug into the BBC feed.

We appreciate this isn't ideal for viewers/listeners on iFollow but we are living and working in strange times, so we can only apologise.

So the reason we get radio sheffield is because we can't get down to all matches for all kinds of reasons and they let us have their feed with good wishes?

When iFollow started, maybe a couple of years ago, there was no commentary for five or six games. I have to say that I enjoyed that coverage more than radio sheffield. Without commentary I was more focussed on the match. I made sure i knew who was who and I gave thought to systems of play and the use of subs.

I prefer Matt and team, but I would take game noise as a second option (if this was a vote)...

 

That's an easy fix with no fans in the ground. Just turn the volume down !!

I don't know if this was intetional or not, but most of the time when we went around the grounds, the signal was muted from said reporter.

 

It was truly awful. Also didn't like Fallon as the expert, he works for Swansea FFS...
