What a month, Fowls beaten by the Reds at the Rusty Sty, Porktalk in meltdown, players allegedly not being paid in full. Fowls bottom of the league. Blunts bottom of the league, heading for fewest points record in history, bluntsmad, well, full of very mad blunts. Barnsley riding high with a new manager, young team with real developing talent, 3 wins on the bounce, 4 points off a play-off position, no real threat of relegation, huge happiness and optimism in the real capital of South Yorkshire. Teams like Barnsley eh? Both the Sheffield “Giants” would love to be like Barnsley! Oh...and Huddersfield got thrashed, as did Lincoln (personal dislikes for my own reasons) I drank a case of Carlsberg to celebrate…..elephant wee….. Very happy Red here, but apparently I smell of elephant wee I’m just wondering what else could happen in December to make us Reds happier and top it all off?
Or appeal and get 12 points added to their total thus avoiding relegation. After all how would the Championship survive without this "sleeping giant".
No social life, no seeing family, haven't seen my girlfriend for 9 months, work sleep repeat, endless hours alone, no Christmas, nothing to look forward to, and I know my situation, as crap as it is, is way better than for those who have lost their jobs and are in danger of losing their homes. And round the corner is Brexit, food shortage and exponential inflation. Long time since I've had a Carlsberg. My memory of it is a foul drink that even their CEO admitted was garbage before a relaunch. Haven't tried the new product, but a friend who has claims it's just as bad. Definitely feels like a Carlsberg December. Barnsley are doing well, the players are a credit to themselves, the manager is impressive and a little intimidating which is probably no bad thing, the results are fantastic, but we can't go, there are dozens of people I spend my Saturdays with that I haven't seen since March. The couple of hours the match is on is a distraction from all this, I'm glad it's there and I'm pleased we're doing well, but it doesn't come close to compensating for this **** show we're all living in.
The plethora of different vaccines either being deployed or on the verge of is giving me hope and a light at the end of the tunnel. Now we just have to cross our fingers and hope Johnson and his cabinet of miscreants don’t perform a signature bodge job with the distribution.
