Did anyone else think that their pitch seemed full of divots and looked generally quite uneven? The ball seemed to be bouncing very unpredictably at times, and passing on the floor seemed hard work. I know it's December, but advances is technology mean that you rarely get the sort of deterioration that you used to see in winter. (Sadly. You can't beat a good FA Cup match played on a quagmire in my opinion!) That leads me to the conclusion that Pulis may well instruct the groundstaff to maintain it in that way as such a pitch favours Wednesday's agricultural style of play, against any side who actually wants to play the ball on the floor.
Wouldn't surprise me, as a form of trying to level things up. It was one of the worst pitches I have seen for a long time.
