But it was a win and in past seasons it wouldn't have been but Christ if I'd been sat in the cold watching it I might have been less forgiving. We were awful

I've got to be honest, I love every win in this division no matter how poorly we might play.

Not a pretty win but an important win IMO. This is the type of game we would have lost in the past. They were a physical side who looked to lump it long at all costs. They were a drab side to watch and those are the games we usually struggle in. Was great to see us win and get the three points. Beating those teams below us in the league is crucial for us and again we did it tonight.

Don't think Wycombe's hoof ball contributed to the quality of the game they are woeful

As mentioned, this is the type of game we traditionally lose, pulls us back into the relegation reckoning and gets everyone anxious.
Instead, I'm surprisingly calm. Being a Barnsley fan though, I'm wondering what's round the corner to de-rail us. January sales? ;)

    What the hell was that.?
One of the worst games of football ( using the word lightly) I’ve ever seen. It was a game of head tennis from start to finish. Played by amateurs/school kids And a poor one at that.
Hope I never have to sit through that again.
    Only saving grace. 3 points.

As I commented to my family it must be sh*te having to watch Wycombe play every week. Fortuneatly we were just able to beat them. For football's sake I hope they go down.

Hate that attitude. They've everyou eight to play to their strengths on the limited budget they have and I imagine their fans will be delighted like we were to be 8n the highest league in their history.

Anyway, you will have scintillating football to watch on Satdi I'm sure !!

Could you honestly pay to watch that though Helen. I wouldn’t not week in week out. It was dire.

Of course they have the right to play to the heir strengths. What I am saying is that it is far from good to watch and I would not pay to watch that style of play every week. I am pretty sure that when we played them last at Adams Park and they beat us they were not as "direct" as they were last night. It does not change my hope that they are relegated despite the fact that generally speaking I am a champion for the underdog.

Or they could play an open expansive game of football and get hammered every week. It's not pretty and I wouldn't pay to watch it every other week but they are a very limited side. I don't think they have anywhere near enough quality to stay up but you can't just expect them to set up to suit us.

Not talking about them. Talking about us. I want to be entertained. winning is not the be all. and end all. I Would rather watch us compete in league one and entertain. Than watch that garbage. At least put a show on. You can win pretty. They do neither. We played into their hands instead of our own.

They absolutely have the right to play how they want, but opposition fans have the right to criticise how poor they are with extreme long ball tactics.

I probably would if it was my club and we were punching above our weight.
