It’s not true though, despite the ‘scroungers’ narrative, the majority of people will behave properly. I get full pay for 6 months if I go sick, and to take advantage of the fact I haven’t had a day off in 17 years (other than 7 days following planned surgery). Rates of sickness are linked to poverty (as is general health), not the availability of sick pay. I once had a long chat with a senior manager about ‘performance pay’. He’d managed thousands over 40 years, and his summary was... some people will work hard, most people will do their share and some will take the p 1ss, and there’s very little you can do to change that; unless you create a massive incentive payment.
It's going to be tougher to persuade people to take the vaccine with all the conspiracy theories around.
Took me all of 20 secs to check and what do you know it is a load of ********. If you keep on sharing stuff like this you're just as bad as the people creating it in the first place.
There are enough good genuine reasons to be hesitant and sharing absolute rubbish doesn't do anyone any favours. What we need are facts not lies and false information because as soon as you get that people stop believing anything and that's exactly why Brexit happened and why Boris won the last election. Lies spread and people stopped knowing the truth so just went with who shouted louder and while I will say I'm hesitant to have an untested vaccine I would never lie to try to convince someone else not to. I want that unsure person to read the facts and make their decision, not see rubbish on twitter.
It is absolutely terrifying how people just share stuff at face value without taking a little time to check it. I'd love Dreamboy and anyone else sharing crap like this to meet some of the people I've care coordinated over the years with psychosis who end up at the top of their trees from reading stuff like this. THINK BEFORE YOU SHARE!!!
I've got my conspiracies about the virus but I'd rather keep them to myself for risk of offending anyone or upsetting who has been touched by the illness.
