Really? Made I think three saves, one a very good one from Taylor’s header - but kept us in it? It was no barrage.

He did have a good game but I thought others influenced the result more. Hey ho.

I went for Styles, Brittain was also as good or arguably at times better on his flank - but the goal has to be considered alongside his performance generally. I also thought Woodrow and Solly were excellent.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose but Styles' performance was beautiful yesterday. Truly, magnificently beautiful and that was before the tracer bullet into the top corner of the Ponty end. :)

His name cropped up on the Forest Forum as one of our best players yesterday. Seems to get here there and everywhere during matches.

It was a close call as there were a lot of good performances yesterday. All the players you mention did well. I think that Styles keeps on improving and Brittain is a good find.

Walton for me , he was very assured when we needed it, made some very good saves in the first half & with first goal being so important, I think his performance gave us the platform to go on & win the match but there were some very good individual performances throughout the team .

Stylesy will of course get the plaudits. And there were very good performances throughout the team. But I was personally impressed the most by Conor who was an absolute pressing machine, a threat on the ball and a whisker away from his own stunning goal.

Hugely underrated player. People laud Cauley and I do too. But Chaps got double figures too last season and is still only 23. When he’s on it, he must be horrific to play against for defenders.

I'm not saying he's not a decent player- far from it. His shot in the turn was sublime and unlucky not to go in. His pressing is unrelenting as you say as is his goals tally from last season is impressive. I was just saying on yesterday's performance Styles was MOTM. Say it as you see it - that's me.

    Styles (again)
Could've gone for Woodrow and I thought Helik was immense. Brittain had another good game.
