Translation: London centric Boris Johnson hopes southern football clubs can have fans back soon.

Plus opening up tier one and 'some' tier two venues....dividing football fans across the country.

Isn't this just the initial response after the petition got signed by over 100, 000?

" is now working on allowing fans into stadia in areas where rates of infections are deemed sufficiently low"

don't hold your breath for us then :(

Not going to happen and to be honest I don’t want to return until it’s safe for all . If that’s next season than so be it . Much more important things to think about currently than watching a game of football .

I agree. Don’t mind watching us via telly. Till it’s safe to attend. Do still look forward to breaking up the monotony though and shouting and cheering at the TV.;)

    i'm in the same thinking,
seen more live reds games since march than probably the 2/3 yrs prior
i've absolutely no intention of visiting any football grounds right now, going to work is bad enough but i need to do it,
we know it can't carry on but my family, health & livelihood is more important

This would give southern clubs home advantage. Doubt it would happen for sporting integrity reasons therefore

We suffered far more under the Taylor report. The excuses some clubs used to avoid restrictions at the time were ridiculous. IT WAS EITHER SAFE OR NOT. But some clubs were punished more than others. And Standing still exists at some clubs. You couldn’t make it up. Us and Chelsea being the big victims at the time.

Agreed mate. We closed all standing sections and others get allowed to stand - disgusting. Plus the situation remained for years afterwards, double standards at it's very best - again.

Think Sunderlands excuse was new stadium. Newcastle having to pay for undersoil heating installation or repairs. Grimsby moving to new Stadium. Only fitting seats behind goal. Many years later.

Irrespective. What made em safer for standing than ours always puzzled me at the time and still does.

Brentford Standing up to last season. Given dispensation. Till new ground built. A total injustice. To ourselves. I’d like to say politics weren’t involved . But.:mad:
