I think the hammil v millwall is my favourite goal ever too. Even tops barnards v hudds. I remember an archdeacon screamer as well on the left when i was a kid - thats all i can remember about ut and it going in the top corner. But that hammil goal i could watch on repeat forever i think and it would bring a smile everytime. I just remember the feeling of seeing it go in live. Awesome
Excellent goal, excellent day out. Thanks for sharing once again mate. and it wasn't even his best goal at Wembley
Sometimes gets overlooked but there was some very good build-up play before Dazza’s strike and that’s a brilliant ball from the under-rated Nicky Eaden. He’d tried it seconds before and it was blocked but found Dazza perfectly second time round.
So good to watch that game. I suppose Hammils goal being at Wembley in a final makes it even more memorable but Darren's goal was definitely one I loved.
Based on today’s version of football, that was a missed opportunity to pass the ball back to the keeper in order to retain possession for the next phase!
The Barnard goal is just truly outrageous and if it had been tried by a premier league player in vogue, it would be talked about by fans constantly. My favourite goal still after all these years is Archdeacons last minute equaliser against Leicester. I've always disliked Leicester and that only seems to intensify over the years, so to equalise right at the death with such a great strike from so far out in front of a packed away end in a cup tie when cups actually meant something, well.... I just rather enjoyed it! "Is that a good equaliser, or is that a good equaliser?" I was thinking about favourite games. And I've come to the conclusion they were the home and away 2-2 draws vs Bolton in our promotion season. The best two teams in the division going toe to toe and some fantastic football was played. Unlucky not to win both and it showed what a fantastic team we were that season.
