Just made their own national history by going two competitive games unbeaten for the first time ever. Two 0-0 draws against Liechtenstein and Gibraltar.

Their captain was on tv balling his eyes out in pride and happiness.

Can’t help but respect these amateur players who turn up game after game and almost always get slaughtered, but keep coming back. No millionaires, just local lads representing their country (population about the same as Wombwell) on the international stage

Been to San Marino many years ago, beautiful place. Shows how much pride they have representing their country, shame some of ours aren't the same.

Just to put this into perspective-

The district of Wakefield has a population 10 times bigger than that of San Marino.

I'd love to go, it looks stunning. I bet it's pricey though

I went about 30 years ago and my old man paid £16 for two halves of coca cola.

I went a few years ago to watch England. Didn’t seem overly expensive. When you got to the top of the hill to the walled old town the views were great. Really enjoyed going. You can easily stay on the coast in Rimini and take a bus or a taxi there. Would recommend a visit.

Yes but how much tax do the residents pay?
