Sounds like they're making it up as they go along.

I saw that earlier. Nothing like making it mice and simple for everyone to understand and follow.

Does that mean Covid can't get you until 11pm in Bristol?

Its the accent. When they are drunk, they slur differently to all us unwashed northeners and spit out less plague-ridden breath as a result. Either that or they are all passed out by 9pm as they can't take their cider.

So the three tier system now has a fourth tier shoehorned in, similar to when we had a four point alert level system, only to then declares us as in alert level 3.5

Dont forget Tier 4 is coming soon to areas near you as well
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/10/29/tier-4-lockdown-would-rules-uk-areas-could-affected/

Regardless of your stance on whether some form of lockdown is a good idea - engaging it in steps in this way is just dumb. its as if because the scientists and Labour advocated a full short lockdown the tory leaders will do anything but that - even if they want to get there they will do it a much less effective way

Killing the country with a death of a thousand cuts

It's confusing the locals but the mayor has introduced +1 and the government have disregarded it.

It's crazy to think that the one thing everybody can agree on is that the current approach is wrong. Doesn't suppress or control the virus, nor does it protect the economy.

One local public health leader was on the news yesterday pointed out the tier 3 areas was still increasing, albeit at a slower rate, so soon the whole north will be in a tighter lockdown, while the rest of the country might currently have lower infection rates, they have higher R values, so will soon catch up and end up in tier 3 or 4 a few weeks later anyway.

Seems to be the Governments only response so far is to shut some businesses down, without any real planning on how to get on top of, then keep on top of the spread. Utterly useless.

Funny after they announced this tier system labour leader stood up and said summat like will We be back here in a few weeks with another plan when this one has failed.

I think he might be right, or at least a change to this system with tier 4 and maybe 5 added with a few pluses inbetween
