And give him a 10 year contract, transitioning into a coaching role. He makes us a million times better.
If anything it also shows the value of the loan market. How many other quality players are sat on their arses at premier League clubs, that could be playing? A striker of the same calibre takes this team onto a different level again.
Exactly , let's get a striker in on loan. A big lad who can knock defenders about....how about Lyndon dykes hehe He would have put a few chances away for us if we had have signed him
We can but dream. Saying that, back on football manager (finally got into it after years worth of absence). I was after this defender from villa. I only had a million left in my budget and didnt want to blow it all. So I didn't go above 600k. Still rejected. So got on blower to chien and said, look this geezer is everything we want. And everything you want in saleable blah blah on future. Chien says, leave it to me. And blows 5.5 ******* million on him. Cheers chein Whilst FM can be very realistic, this certainly wasn't lol
Agreed, it's as good an example as any of what adding some experienced quality in the right positions (ideally through the spine) can do to a young team like ours. I'd love us to be able to keep him longer term and ideally permanently, and I think it would do him good to stay. Sadly though the ludicrous gap between what he (apparently) gets at Leicester and what we, just one level below, may be able to offer, means it's highly unlikely. If we could add a forward of similar experience/quality, it would make a world of difference.
