ADAM MURRAY PRE-BRISTOL CITY Interviews As he prepares to take interim charge from the Oakwell dugout for a second time in 12 months, Adam Murray spoke with the press. Continue reading on the official site...
Also been giving an interview to the Yorkshire Post. As usual, sounds as though we are leaving everything regarding possible incomings to the last minute.! https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...racting-interest-confirms-adam-murray-3003174
Murray talking about putting out fires last time is ironic considering he's alledged to have started some of them.
Can’t believe how laid back our owners are regarding the importance of getting at least 3 players into the club before fridays deadline although i did say a month ago that we’d be scratching around as per usual on deadline day nothing changes with these clowns.
I can hear it now "we've tried to sign players but haven't been able to get deals over the line. So we'll go with what we've got." Which isn't a problem for the board because they really don't give a toss about league position it's all about player sales profit with them.
Well Adam........on behalf of some of us on this Board, all the very best to you and the lads on Saturday.
Can I say,I don't mind Adam Murray and wish him well in his spell as Caretaker. It sounds as though he's trying to simplify the way the team plays. Didn't realise Bristol city were top of the league. There's hope still.
I know you never answer this but I'll try again because I'm so intrigued as to how you get to this conclusion. Where is the evidence that the owners don't care about league position and only care about player sales? I understand frustration around recruitment 100%, but all it should be is frustration. Until they actively take money out then they are just running the club within its means. I know we sell players. But we also buy players and I think that's massively understated. We also paid close to a million Euros to our last Head Coach and no doubt a hefty bonus for keeping us up. If we didn't care what division we were playing in why did we appoint Struber?
The EFL is in a state financially why blow a load of cash on players who may be 4th or 5th on a positional list? I'm 100% sure we've gone after players but teams aren't selling. The best players make teams starting 11s and they'll want top dollar in these uncertain times. If a team is close to going under they'll have to sell cheap or release players. That's when teams who've looked after their cash can strike.
We've got 7 games in 22 days. Basically it looks like they're giving it to Murray for 3 weeks until the next international break. With playing Saturday-Midweek 3 weeks on the trot it doesn't give a new appointment much time to influence things. Hence good luck Adam, let's get some points on the board before the new guy comes in.
