Can't or won't address the fans of the club that pays his wages but has got an opinion on the Greed League. Great stuff Paul, keep up the good work
Yup. No choice have they really, but he’s still right. And also financially it’ll help us. But this is nothing new - the breakaway European Superleague has been lurking around for the last decade if not longer. It’s a hungry machine which needs feeding vast amounts of money to stay alive. It won’t stop until it’s eaten as much as it can. The machine’s been on a diet for 7 months and now wants to eat again. A European Super League is what it wants.
The "Bigger Picture" in football hasn't been seen in many moons. The top 4 should break away and have their own Euro League. See how long that lasts...
It has to keep inventing itself imo . When Liverpool and Forest etc were d ominating European football it was great , There wasn’t much live football on TV at that time and those games were a treat along with the full days tv vowing of the F A cup final . Roll along a bit further and the advent of Sky and the New Prem league and games such as Leeds v Rangers in the UEFA was treat to watch and even Wendy in the Eu cup winners cup (that was hard to admit ) was a game to savour . Fast forward to today when there’s football almost twenty four seven and I must admit to being bored with it sometimes . That’s the reason the big clubs and television are looking at scenarios like these to hopefully freshen up and attract the customers back . What they’re missing is that many people tune in to the games such as Liverpool v Barnsley etc for the upset . I’d bet more watched MOTD for that game than the other big matches , indeed can remember taping it whilst watching the Chelsea v Bradford in case I missed any action on their giant killing a few years ago . Havnt felt like that about a domestic (other than reds )football match for years and only England’s exploits in Russia has come anywhere near . A few more years when or if this proposal comes in they’ll be looking at some other formats to keep the customer satisfied . True football fans outside the Orem top six know that following their team isn’t all highs but it’s what the TV companies are trying to sell mostly to plastics .
Fans want to see exciting, competitive football. If I was a Liverpool fan I’d rather them play Burnley in a match that could lead to winning the league than Bayern Munich in a glorified friendly
WTAF. And the next time Barnsley fans get slapped by the FA for being Neanderthals, there’ll still be people defending ‘us’. grow the fu ck up Jeff.
Boro are backing it too...... https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...s-project-big-picture-will-save-clubs-3002537 It looks like many clubs including our own are happy at being bent over for some cash.

May I ask what your post was all about? What relevance it had to Anything or why you posted it? On the face of it it simply looks like a bigoted homophobic comment
