Had a good 1st season last year playing adult football, hopefully he might go back to Forest Green,to continue. Had a better season than George or Victor, just my opinion though, not a fact.
The comments I’ve seen from Celtic fans all seem to be sad that he’s leaving as they all think he’s got big potential. Hopefully he’ll go to a league 2 team, bang them in for fun and then we can be the team to call a player back for a change and he can come here to carry it on.
Another situation similar to Miller then. We need a striker, we sign a striker and then we loan said striker straight back out again!!!
I guess so but he’ll more than likely get more game time in league 2. Pretty important for developing players. He could well be off back to Forest Green.
"I've got a deformed snooker table, a Nazi bandit that pays out in Deutsche Marks and a flavoured condom machine that's 10 years out of date." Kinda sums up our squad.
All I did was comment on this signing in silo. Nothing like giving a young striker with potential and a three year contract a warm Barnsley welcome!
At least we have found all the fans who just love to pull players to pieces..All young lads, bet they love it if they ever stumble on here and see how highly thought of they are.. Anybody would have thought the world had ended.
Difficult though isn't Loko after the last striker we signed in almost identical circumstances, when we were desperate for a player to bolster the squad instantly, just as we are now, and he turned out to be rubbish. So not only did we waste what little resources we had on funding a signing for another team, he was never any good anyway. I get your argument that we shouldn't judge him, but I can't for the life of me think this is a sensible recruitment policy. We haven't much money, we can't score for toffee, using some of the little money we have to purchase a player who isn't going to be available to us just isn't very clever is it? It doesn't seem like it is to me.
I think this is a lot different though. We’ve been tracking this kid for a while and he’s ours to loan out at our discretion. There’s also ten days of the transfer window left and we don’t play until 17th October. Miller came out of nowhere. We didn’t want him to be at Bradford on loan. And it was our last signing of the window right at the end of the window (I think). Feel free to bump this thread in ten days or in two years when Aitchison is nowhere near the first team.
Wouldn't dream of bumping it, however things turn out, you're allowed an opinion and it's in no way outlandish. I do think you're giving the board more credit than they deserve by thinking we'll sign the players we need, but that's my opinion, not a criticism of you.
I was joking with the comment mate. Literally feel free to bump it. I think we will sign players. Will they be the ones we need? I’m more bothered about the Head a Coach being the one we need the most right now. Woodrow, Mowatt and Chaplin could be like new signings.
