True and not excusing him. But would be interesting to hear Boris’s excuse this time.
    ‘“ My dad was sleepwalking.”
    “ He suffers amnesia’
“ He suffers with copd. developed it during his visit to the mining museum. “
“ like Dominic he didn’t have anyone to look after him. So he drove to the bookshop to see his mate the owner, to ask if he would go to get him some shopping. He removed his mask cos his mate couldn’t understand what he was saying”
“ you couldn’t see with the photo. But the book shop also acts as a cafe. He was having a meal. But stood up for a split second to pull his trousers up”
    “Honest guv”

No doubt he should be. It would actually be a good piece of P.R. obviously fortunate and unintended as Boris could then claim...look, we are all in this together and no one, not even my father, is above the law. The fine would not exactly be a hardship and 'good publicity'.
That said, I fully expect it to be another PR disaster as the arrogance of the current Political elite is plain to see. And yes, it is true at the outset of the Virus lockdown back in March.Corbyn was on record as saying he was not adhering to social distancing advice (as it was at the time) and, more seriously he has recently flouted the law.

Nevertheless, they ALL seem to consider themselves above the law. IMO there is no difference though between Corbyn, Johnson or any other elected MP breaking the law and a private citizen, whatever his/her connection to an MP. the law is the law and all should be punished if proven to have broken it.

This will probably lead to us not having to wear masks imo (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).

When his Dad went to Greece to 'clean' his holiday home it led to the opening up of overseas travel.

When Cummings drove to Barnard Castle it led to the relaxing of internal travel.

Basically whenever one of the Tory Tossers makes a balls up of things, instead of enforcing the laws they are changed.

It wouldn't surprise me if they did fine him this time - he won't even notice the money so why not

He can pay the fine out of the profits on the compulsory purchase of his house for HS2.

Why would you get hammered?, you make a valid point & yes he should receive a fine.

You see Tories, not hard is it?

Stanley Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn were both idiots and both should be fined. Johnson should know better at his age in a high risk group. Corbyn was the worst because at least Stanley was alone.

That's the difference between Tories and everyone else.

A Tory breaks the law/does something daft/makes a stupid comment, all they say is BUT WHAT ABOUT LABOUR....

Most other people would simply say "I'm sorry, I made a mistake, I apologise/resign/stand down"

If Cummings had simply said he was sorry, he made an error of judgement, he panicked and made an error, then most people would say fair cop. Instead he said he was right and that everyone else was a bad parent.

It is a valid point but on this forum it's sometimes frowned upon to mention what corbyn or any other labour man has done if it brings them in a negative light. People will often quote your post "but corbyn" which on reality means were slagging the opposition off dont mention that.

Imo they both should be fined and know better especially when they are in the spotlight. But I'm not sure how much control boris has over his dad, so he cant be held responsible for his actions, I seem to remember Corbyn's brother has done some silly things in the past.

Surprised he didn`t rob the shop then or did the shopkeeper tell him to let himself in.

Not really I heard on the way to work about boris's son and corbyn both breaking lockdown rules. They both should be fined imo, but I'm not sure how much responsibility boris can take for his dads actions. If a member of my family goes out and breaks the law it's not my responsibility is it? Corbyn should know better he also refused to self isolate at the start of the pandemic when the government advised all over 65s to.
