Apart from letting Coventry steal 20 yards at every throw in. But that seems to be how refs operate these days, so yeah, he's been ok.
I agree Styles still has some growing up to do as regards decision making and giving fouls away but he gives his all and is still learning. Think he has the potential to be a top player
Here is the post game talk: - Make sure you dont run forward to avoid the ball being passed behind you - Ludewig, when we say find a man, we meant one of ours. - Chaplin, well done, you put a shift in, next game you might even get to touch the ball too - Woodrow, another 2 or 3 inches, err i mean miles and you might, just might get a shot on target - Mowatt, those little elaborate passes are too little and not very elaborate - Styles, if you can make those passes a bit slower it may not even leave your foot - Solly and Anderson, no a bad job lads, clean sheet - Walton, make sure you match every roll out with a call of 'dont panic' - Williams did oreight'ish - Thomas, keep looking down. The ball disappears when you look up - Helik, great game, keep it up and we will take you off at half time again. - ......
Simoes made the most yellow card foul of the match but didn’t get booked ref was conned for Mowatt s booking and the rest were soft for both sides but I thought the ref generally was a lot better than average
Looked a bit better second half, and at least created some chances. Frieser looks better on the right, just like Brown did. Maybe he'll get a chance to play there, which Brown didn't. I'm not sure a new striker will make much difference, our confidence with the final pass / shot has disintegrated completely. Struber needs to find a way of getting confidence into them.
I was mostly grumbling about the bookings TBH. It didn’t look a particularly difficult game to officiate. I won’t labour the point, since I am clearly in the minority.
