If it's a later Android version on your phone you may need Chrome Cast

My son bought a USB to HDMI adapter and connects his Samsung phone using that plus a HDMI cable. I think other folk have said previously that you can't cast iFollow.

It's a bit naff really, cos we cast everything else... iPlayer, YouTube, NowTV...

If you've got the wires why do you need to cast it?

Enable screen mirroring on the TV first.
Samsung phone, swipe down from top, choose screen mirroring button.
Hauwei phone, settings, more connection, wireless projection.

I screen mirrored first game of season no prob but heard reports some users couldn't.

You can do it via a third party app too as it mirrors in a different way to standard mirroring so ifollow doesn't realise apparently.

On a side note when I mirror i find the quality on TV awful and it jumps around a lot and freezes. Any idea how to solve that?

I've checked with my son. All he does, once the wires are connected, is change the Source on the tv. Nothing fancy. It's a Samsung phone and a Samsung tv, not sure if that makes a difference?
