Just heard on the radio that there’ll be an announcement tonight, cases soaring apparently, it’s unknown as yet how far the restrictions will go.
We are going to avoid another costly national lockdown by instead having a series of local lockdowns in every town/city with a population over 100,000*. *This will reduce towards 100 by the end of winter.
Well it isn’t a first: Bielsa locked down good and proper second half when we were battering them at their place last season.
The only good thing if we don't get back in our stadiums this year would be if Leeds go straight back down, so their fans have waited all them years to see them back in the premier league and can't in person.
Looking like most of the larger out breaks seem to be in University Cities. Young people, freshers week parties, multiple living apartments and close social contacting all instances ticking all the wrong boxes.
I live and work in Leeds and they've been congregating in huge groups around the park where I usually run. Carnage on the grassy areas last week, but on Tuesday it looked more like lots of groups of 6 sitting around the place. They seem to forget group sizes though when walking to/from the park. Lockdown-wise, it looks to be similar restrictions to those in Bradford/Kirklees, etc. Apparently, these have been requested by the local council and they've had to seek permission from the Government for it (who initially refused the first request, but have accepted this one).
Interesting you say that Ian, Lincoln is getting more cases by the day, which on face value is not surprising but when you factor in during the lockdown there were virtually no cases. Never occurred to me about the Uni we have.
Going down? We won't see them for years, they've spent £77m already, they're no Bournemouth, Huddersfield etc etc.
Kids returning to Liverpool's unis has had an effective on the infection rate hence our restrictions at the moment
By “soaring” we need to remember it’s getting to the heady heights of 1 in every 1000 people. lucky the survival rate is 99.997% for under 19s
I think your right be shocked if they go down this season fancy them to turn dem blades over on Sunday
