Agreed. I don't warm to her at all. She comes across, to me anyway, as disingenuous when I've seen her give interviews. I find her persona fake and she has personality traits that are typical 'Hollywood' that I struggle to get on board with. It has absolutely nothing to do with the colour of her skin. I'm also aware that I have this opinion based on what media I've consumed, so it may be an unfair reflection. But it's the only one I have.
Corroboration = evidence Therefore have you got names and copies of exit interviews? Or is it conjecture written in a publication which issues apologies daily for false reporting?
Unconscious Bias. We've recently been re educated at work that when recruiting or disciplining immigrant, BAME, or the BGLTQ community we have to be conscious of our unconscious bias. The implication being that we're racist homophobes but don't know that we are. This is where we've gotten to. I despair sometimes.
So I take it you don't agree with this form social science? Do you think only overt bigotry exists or that only overt actions are discriminatory?
I think it was others who mentioned the Daily Torygraph and added a political slant to a thread which did to be fair start by discussing political opinions. I just offered my opinion on her based on what I knew and from what I'd seen of her but others on here posted that she was disliked because of the colour of her skin as opposed to her personality. I'm not seeking to justify the articles posted, just saying that those on here who think that she gets a hard time just because of the colour of her skin are selling folk short who have a bit more oil in their lamp than that. Don't worry about being a bit of a lefty, I used to be one myself ! I do find though that it's interesting the reaction Starmer got on here after realising that moderate left wing was more appealing than far left hence the 'rabid'.
So I take it you don't agree with this form social science? Do you think only overt bigotry exists or that only overt actions are discriminatory? I don't agree with the potential for the assumption that as a white Englishman I'd give a job to another white Englishman rather than a black, gay european because I'd be biased against blacks, europeans and gays. I haven't formed the opinion of Meghan Markle that I hold because of the colour of her skin. The school of unconscious bias opens me up to that assumption by others.
There's more classic examples of it. Again I'm garbage at pasting but just Google "Sterling and Foden buy house". If someone good post the results then what would be amusing and would in no way show media bias - honest guv. Time to bow out of this thread. I made a promise to myself to just post about football in the recent past, as a few posters on here bring out in the worst in me. Have fun.
I have no trouble with experts. It’s those who like to think they’re experts but know very little, I have a problem with. Pity Boris took a lot of advice from the wrong experts according to the experts.
many of Boris foibles are a matter of public record and easily verifiable. For example I would criticise him over spaffing money away on the garden bridge or in his racism “picanniny smiles’ but wouldn’t for his alleged shagging of a violinist as thats not corroborated. If you can supply some facts to back up your assertion not opinion or through the media lens crack on
