Why did he How do you know that the fear is down to drugs? Maybe it's down to the way police treat black men in particular?
Because he was off his face on drugs. Have you watched the full video? He is acting crazy, aggressive, babbling on incoherently, struggling to breathe without anything being done to him, sweating profusely. It's a man off his face on drugs. Or it could be because he's scared the bame officers are racist. Remember that Chauvin isn't there at the beginning when he's having a meltdown
Something up with you if you can’t see the fear of being killed in his eyes just cos he’s black, If you think that looks just cos he’s on drugs your mad lol
Which of the BAME officers who responded do you think the armed robber, high on drugs, took one look at and thought 'this ethnic minority guy here is racist' and instantly thought were going to murder him? His erratic, aggressive, response is what sadly got him killed just like it does to thousands of black and white suspects every year. Absolutely terrible policing but sod all to suggest it was racially motivated
The technique of putting weight on necks got into worldwide policing somehow. I can't see how like, my refreshers don't include it for obvious reasons but seen a few of ours doing it (mainly Met). Is there some additional training I'm missing? Either way racist or not we'll see more George Floyd's if actual tactical comms (actually being human and explaining why a search is needed) and community policing isn't drastically changed for the better.
The reason they had guns draw The reason they had their guns drawn was because Floyd was a known fellon with a conviction for armed robbery, I would have my gun drawn
That's not why they had them drawn. At the point of approaching the vehicle they did not know who he was, his was just a car that was pointed out by the shopkeeper. The reason they drew a weapon was because when they tapped on the window and asked to see his hands he refused to comply and kept one hand down beside him in the blind spot. The reason he was then taken out of his car was he continued to refuse to follow instructions
You don’t think Dispatch- proceed with caution, suspect matches description of known fellon George Floyd, as does car registration , also known to be armed and dangerous, regular drug user But you know best
Having read up on it the dispatch wasn't aware of the car registration and there are thousands of known fellons, d you honestly think that someone on the radio thought eyup that sounds like George who got done a few years ago? I'll say again, I've seen the video. The gun was drawn when he didn't comply.
