    Yeah wearing a mask for a short time food shopping shouldn't be a problem for anyone. On the otherhand you have a company like Birds Bakery twice this weekly acting shamefully and should be boycotted......

    Tin hat on tanks and cruise missiles at the ready..... Is it only me who thinks this virus malarkey is just a front for those in power to .. Take more freedom away from us all whilst resetting the world economies... I agree there's a covid virus... I just don't accept that it's any more likely that we would catch it than the flu .. As for the face masks I comply so as not to freak folk out in shops who are following bojos advice... Guess they've got to sell all those masks he asked manufacturers to make.at the supposed peak... ... Either I'm wrong or this virus is has clever as **** because how it can define who's family who's not .. Who's in a pub to who's in a shop is beyond me ... Plus how a doctor can tell with a telephone call that someone in a nursing home or at has died at home with covid when the said doctor hasn't seen seen them for months is another puzzling fact.... Even though it goes down on the death certificate ..
    Better go now or I might be found guilty of using too much oxygen that those in power begrudge us meer mortals

    The death rate from all causes for April and May was nearly 60k higher than the five year average. There has to be a reason for the increase and it is not unreasonable to assume that the virus was the main contrbutor to the figure.

    Death rates for the last four weeks have been slightly below the five year average.

    I agree that the conflicting advice has been woeful but I can't see it being an engineered front.

    Medical officer also suggested we have likely reached the limit to lifting the restriction so we're knackered. How many unemployed by the end of the year? 7m? 8m?

    Tif to the government ( as bad as they have been with decisions) they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t .
    They got hammered for acting too late at the start and now some folk are complaining because they are reining in the loosening of the lockdown.
    When you look at places like the states where large numbers of the population tried to ignore it and the virus ran amok and places like Germany and Spain etc where they Appear to have got caught out by acting too fast in dropping restrictions and now re imposing them, it really is as I say a sh1tty thing to try and control.

    I agree there is still a nagging doubt but imagine how our owners will react if the appeal is not dismissed. The way football is going soon it will be the club that signs the best lawyers who will win the league.

    Andy Burnham, made the best explanati9n I have heard about this from anyone.
    In a nutshell he said ‘ the evidence shows family gatherings that are unregulated are the cause, in Pubs, Restaurants etc there are procedures in place which help’. In other words people going to others houses are mingling too close and not taking precautions but at pubs etc they are.

    But 92 year old Doris with COPD who's been at deaths door for the last 2 years can from tomorrow go and do whatever she pleases. People will then call for everyone to stay indoors indefinitely because this awful awful disease causes some people to do what every single I did us on the planet will eventually do.
    Nobody has dared to suggest that Doris should be the one forced to stay indoors though
