Haven't been super active so big apologies if there's already been posts about this, please delete this post if so. Not the best podcast I've ever listened to or anything, far from it, but highly recommend the episode with Iain Hume. Very interesting listen, hearing his views on Chris Morgan and everything. They also did an episode recently with Brian Howard.
Hi Tomaiba, welcome back, long time no post. I seem to recall you're an American Barnsley fan aren't you? How did you first get into the Super Reds?
Hey man thank you. I was always big a football fan, I moved to the UK in 2006 and never really had a team. I was aware of Barnsley a little bit and am not sure why, I didn't live there but people would sometimes mock the accent and things like that.. Then in early 2008 I believe it was, Barnsley beat Liverpool in the FA Cup and that was it. I told everyone "You know what; I'm supporting Barnsley" and loyalty continued to grow, I've been to Oakwell plenty, away games plenty, watched the entire last 2 seasons on iFollow and things like that so yeah here we are, wouldn't support any other team.
That's great to hear. Yes, I was at Anfield that day along with 6,000 other reds, what a day that was. It's good to know that Barnsley have a truly international fan base,I reckon this season's great escape may attract a few more! U Reds!
Just watched it. He swears a lot! Glad that concussion protocol is so different now, he was very lucky.
Thanks for posting this, just finished watching. Humey seems a very humble down to earth guy. The Morgan ‘incident’ part was interesting though not surprising. Enjoyed the podcast
I was rather surprised to find a couple of Reds fans commenting on our YouTube videos in Russian the other day. Turns out they're both based in different parts of Siberia! One started supporting us after watching the Willard game live on TV and feeling completely incensed by his incompetent performance but inspired by Barnsley's!
Just enjoyed watching the Brian Howard one. Interesting his thoughts on the current transfer market as well at the end. From a Barnsley point of view, the Gerry Tagart one stands out.
