Struber on record as saying he wants a short break before deciding his future if we are relegated...my opinion for what it's worth is his Comments speak volumes... Basically translates to..... let's see what Conway and Co's plans are for next season...before I commit .. Personally I think he will walk... As In my opinion Conway and Co don't want championship football.. Whilst I don't get any joy from seeing us relegated which I'd say is looking more likely by the minute... I'm looking forward to hearing Conway's excuses that's if he's got the balls to talk to us... Not holding my breath though.... because no doubt he will say everybody bar him and the board are responsible for our demise you can bet your bottom dollar on that.... The cowboys need to get out of town sooner than later..
I wonder if the COVID19 situation may come into play too. He's not brought his family over has he and he obviously feels safer in Austria judging by his comments in interviews.
He will be the scapegoat for the owners. I can see it now. They’ve not only let him down, but the whole town! Do I blame him for walking? Not a chance. 12 months ago this town was buzzing football wise, they’ve ripped it all to shreds!
I agree. I think he's done an ok job, not brilliant but ok and good enough to be given a full season imo. If we have a new manager we're back to square one. I think he will choose to leave though. And there'll be 2/3 players leave too.
I think I’d like him to stay. Yes, there’s been occasions where his selections and tactics have baffled me but overall he’s certainly improved us and considering our long winless run, I didn’t expect us to still be in it* with 2 games to go. *we’ll go down but mathematically we’re still in it.
If we play like we did tonight and sign a striker we’ll come back up. I’m disappointed by our last four games, but he’s had half of a disjointed season. I’d stick with him next year, but will he stick with us?
He's fvcking brilliant. I don't understand his team selections, but he's amazing. I'll want to slit my wrists if we can't give him what he wants and we end up with some many-times-around-the-block fvcknut. And the above is exactly what is likely to happen.
I agree with that. I never wanted him to go but if we lose Struber it will be building from scratch again.
Nonsense. Players aren't good enough. Top five in chances created, bottom in conversions. Nothing much the manager can do about that. We'd be extremely lucky to keep him.
I hate the seemingly constant conveyor belt of managers we seem to have- it does nothing for the consistency or long term planning at the club. Having said that, it has to be the right man you back. And in my honest opinion, Struber is not the right man for the job. He picks his mates, plays numerous players out of position, is too negative with substitutions and cannot seem to galvanise us when things go wrong. I get the PPG argument, and I've no real defence of that. It's obvious that in this metric we have improved. However, we're in exactly the same league position as when he took over, and he has been afforded the opportunity to sign who he likes, coupled with plenty of his first team returning from injuries that kept them out of the starting line up prior to Strubers arrival. To sum up - I don't like changing managers. But I would change manager.
