No not yet. Sadly there's been a lot of late night cloud lately otherwise I'd have been out there gazing.

I wonder if it's visible on the Transpennine trail?

was hoping to see it tonight , but we have cloud coverage down here. Hopefully the 18th will be a clear sky, as thats when it's supposedly gonna be at it's best.

Yes the comet is visible naked eye from Barnsley - saw it through my bedroom window on Monday night. Very easy. It's quite low down so you will need to avoid tall builders and trees. Look north, it has been spotted as early as 11.30am, but if you can give it a bit longer gets higher in the sky. The nucleus is quite starlike, but the tail gives it away. Well worth it - it's a superb comet. Additional tip: location wise it is to the left and little lower than a very bright star called Capella, much the brightest in that part of the sky. It will be another 7,000 year before it will be back. Similar to the timescale for our return to the Prem.

Think how many times we'll have yo-yo'd between the Champ and League One in that period. About 7000 I'd guess.
Oh, and about 7000 shitty transfer windows.

Comet is bright - 2nd magnitude so yes it will look better after midnight but you'll have a chance at 11.30pm (sory not 11.30am !!!). You can always use binos to spot it and then check with your naked eye.
