    All teams that beat us this season adopted the same approach. Pack out the midfield, sit deep, wait for a mistake then hit you fast on the break

    Birmingham and Cardiff spring to mind

    Square pegs in round holes is exactly how I see the formations and you hit the nail on the head with your analysis

    Opta and WhoScored (statistical websites) had it down as a 4-3-1-2. Are they wrong/right? Are you right or wrong, am I right or wrong? :D

    But yeah. It was meant to be three central defenders, with Kilian and Callum wingbacks. Marcel and Alex central midfield, Elliot just ahead of them, Cauley and Jacob strikers.

    Did it always look like that? Not to me, no. Did I see Woodrow for example, drop deep a lot? Yes. Did I see Simoes and Brown end up very wide at times? Yes. Did I see Styles in the left back position often? Yes. He made a couple of good tackles down there second half. But I also saw Sollbauer at right back at times, he made a big error there. Because Kilian was caught upfield a few times.

    It's a massively fluid system, something Gerhard has mentioned a lot in his interviews.
