Signs of desperation from hull. Think we had em over a barrel. Bfc are going to come out of this pandemic stronger than a lot of a the big boys imho.
Football clubs at the front of the queue for payments when clubs go into administration. HMRC tried to change this unsuccessfully.
Yeah, it's been bad practice sending him to Hull in January, who have racked up a massive three points since.
A bit of a shame I think, after the Fulham game I thought we had a right player on our hands. Subsequent games it seemed the work rate and ability were there, he just wasn't getting the luck in front of goal. Think he lost a bit of confidence and retreated into himself slightly and that coincided with a bad run of results. Think he will still go on and become a decent player, shame it won't be for us
Interview with Struber about it here: https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...ove-win-win-barnsley-fc-and-hull-city-2901646 I also found this funny:
Hope we've told them about his pending trial. Otherwise they'll claim they know nowt about it and not pay up !
When he signed in the summer, I was really chuffed - he’d been excellent for Donny. He didn’t seem bothered for us with little effort so has been a great letdown!
I always feel it's a bit upsetting when obviously talented footballers dont perform for us but given GS doesn't want him it's a no brainer. Just hope he doesn't benefit Hull too much in the run in.
"Legally" they are, but in order for a buyer / new company to get their league share back and actually play in the league, football creditors have to be cleared. It's the equivalent of joining a private club that has conditions of membership. If you want to join you abide by them. Presumably it's to stop the situation where for example a club doesn't pay for players it's bought, then plays them against the club it owes the money to
Of all our summer signings, given the anticipation, he's been the biggest let down for me. I guess there's a footballer in there but just didn't look interested from what I saw (I missed the opening game). Sometimes a player just doesn't fit the clubs DNA, think this was one of those occasions. I think a few players come to Barnsley with the BIG I AM and leave disappointed that everyone didn't faun at their feet.
I just feel there are some players that should be given more time, it's not like it's someone from non league who we were just taking a punt on. Proven top player in league 1, same goes for cavare. As you say tho, if the manager doesn't want him then that's that.
I don't think we will have had the choice. If the option was there at the season end then that will mean after June 30th. I can't imagine there'll be an asterisk to that if the season has gone the way it has.
