I've only watched a couple of the Prem games and ours last Saturday and tonight, while the man u game was on I suddenly remembered that I hadn't seen any player tantrums, bitching, moaning, arm waving, surrounding the referee etc. Even my wife put it down to the fact that there was no audience to play up to. I take it that this will return once crowds return.
They're not allowed to do it, are they? I know they aren't allowed, anyway, but I thought they had specifically been told not to crowd the ref.
Don't know, but if true why do they do it at all, covid or no covid? Big kids play acting comes to mind.
I heard that there was a new rule about surrounding the ref etc. Hasn't stopped the occasional dive though.....
I’ve noticed the general mood of the players has been more jovial since the lockdown, with opposition players joking with eachother on the pitch. Wonder if it’s because the crowds aren’t there baying them on.
Yes, I've noticed that too. Isn't it 6 against, 0 for ? I'll tell you what, they haven't looked like scoring either. A poor resemblance to their earlier selves.
I think they're playing at their natural level and the division has sussed them out. I expect them to go into free fall. They won't go down this season but look certs for next season.
