    Just been announced that the very first sport to resume after lockdown is a pigeon race from Leceister to Barnsley this morning at 10am

    Also the reopening of markets is being reported live from Barnsley Market Glassworks

    Fame at last :D:D

    Funny how often Barnsley features on social barometer news items like that. Definitely punches above its weight. Maybe it's the easy M1 access !

    It was on the tea time news about the outdoor market opening. Featured a couple of
    local traders who were keen to be back if only to reconnect with the public. Said they
    didn't expect that they would sell a lot, but they were doing their bit to get the local
    economy going again.
