So when you reach 60 you can get a concessions season pass earlier than 65 if you've been a pass holder every season from at least 2009? I bet a lot of people didn't realise that and have overpaid.
Mmm....I'm afraid I didn't see this thread and I "renewed" last night - this time as a 60 year old for the first time, and bought a "concessionary" reserved+ season ticket. Will I have to do anything further to get my new season ticket sent out, or can they see from information held as to my d.o.b. and long time season ticket holding that i am now eligible for the reduced rate? There was certainly no attempt made to stop me buying the concessionary season ticket. Ta
Same for me Ive had a Season ticket since we came out of Admin and as I am 57 it really makes sense for me to renew as I will get this back when I get to 60 in 3 years time - even if for this one season it may not be a sensible thing to do
They've honoured it since 2009. I'd be surprised if it stopped all of a sudden. Will try and find out though
Yep, I wasn't going to go until there is, and I have had, a vaccine. Might have to get a ST now just to preserve the discount.
Contact them. My mate did similar last year, then got a refund when he asked about this little known concession.
I was royally pissed off when just as I was about to turn 60 they moved the concession age back to 65. I think it was 2015/6 season (I was 60 in march 2016), oddly I actually paid less to see the Reds at Wembley due to the concession than it cost to see them at Oakwell....
We’re you a season ticket holder before 2009? Because if you were you were still eligible for the discount when they moved the age restriction .
Never been a season ticket holder, I live in South Derbyshire and on average only get to maybe 9 home games a season plus the odd away game in the Midlands.
I’ve Renewed mate . 63yrs of age online. Went Straight to my account. Oap price and centenary reduction of 5%. Stated on renewal don’t have to apply. ( centenary reserved +, Senior. it came up with on the application.) It also gives you the option to add the £40 to upgrade to the extras. Home/away/ or 3rd kit shirt etc. If you are applying as a new 60yr old qualifier. Do it at the box office or on the phone or it won’t be recognised. Online in your account, It will still see you as a full paying adult I’m guessing.
TBH Marlon I was aware of the rule, my cousin wasn’t. He paid full price 1st year eligible. I Made him aware and they knocked of the difference for the second year. Cost him next to nowt so to speak. So still an happy bunny.
Nice for the friend but if one day then why not two days? Looks like a line drawn but it moves. It has to be black and white in my work but if club happy to create risk of challenge fair do
Nowt wrong there mate. I assume you renewed your seat online way your asking. Mine came up with the category in place or did you have to change it yourself from adult to oap.
It allowed me to be an OAP. So I've paid. At which point I thought about topping myself. I'm sure that they'll be OK at the box office once they corroborate it all. I've always found them helpful.
