Is there an official reason clubs can't offer these for the behind closed doors matches? In their own private boxes it would probably be safer than being in the pubs and restaurants that are due to open in July.

I understand behind closed doors for those in the stands.

I don't understand why struggling clubs can't sell hospitality boxes for food and drink with like 10 people in each to raise much needed cash, but you will soon be able to have food and drink in a Wetherspoons that will likely have ten times that amount in the venue.

Not at all. I just don't understand why somewhere like Wetherspoons you can soon have a meal and drinks probably surrounded by 100 plus people you don't know. But you can't sit in a private box for food and drink in your small group of people you know up to around ten people. I reckon every club will have asked the question so it would be interesting the reply they were given.

For one, it's a kick in the teeth to those who go home and away ever week, that someone with money, or on a work freebie gets priority (I've been on many myself, and the majority of those in our box were there for the day out).

Secondly, in many clubs, you don't eat in the box but in the main hall thus meaning social distancing wouldn't work.

The obvious is that unless all from the same family, how do you social distance in a small box?

For what the outgoings are, staff, utilities etc it is just not worth it.

Plus, you are behind a glass screen so might aswell sit at home.

Firstly do you know what the rules are going to be for pubs and restaurants? I very much doubt you'll be seeing hundreds in them

Secondly it's because football is for all not the rich
