Has anyone seen a full fixture list yet and does anyone know if the plan is still to use neutral venues ?
They must do because the headline on the BBC mentions Liverpool clinching the title at a neutral venue.
The matches which have been requested to take place at neutral grounds are Manchester City v Liverpool, Manchester City v Newcastle, Manchester United v Sheffield United, Newcastle v Liverpool and Everton v Liverpool. The police statement adds that “the game in which Liverpool could secure the league title” should also be moved but this may end up needing to be more than one match if the Jürgen Klopp’s side do not clinch it at the first attempt. "The majority of remaining matches will be played at home and away as scheduled, with a small number of fixtures taking place at neutral venues, which, contrary to some reports, have yet to be agreed. The views and agreement of forces which host Premier League clubs have been sought and where there were concerns, the Premier League has been supportive in providing flexibility in arranging alternative venues where requested."
But no actual fixture list yet then ? I’m on a general football forum and just holding onto top spot of their fantasy premier league, been top all season but stuck with Vardy up front when he went on that poor run if form just after Christmas and I’ve been caught. I’d tee’d my selections up just nice for the forthcoming double gameweeks then all this happened. Just trying to find myself an edge to keep me in front, I’ll get some right hammer if I miss out in the title right at the very end after being top all season
So are the venues going to be kept "secret" until the last minute to try and stop the Scousers and Mancs travelling, cos that's not gonna work is it!
Surely the Manchester United v Sheffield United game could be played at a Old Trafford as thats a fair distance from most of their fans. Does make a bit of a mockery of home advantage if you have to play you home game at a neutral venue
