Does the vote only concern clubs in your division?

Agree, it's all down to the money aspect. If sporting integrity is so important you play it when you can. If that's not a option then you void it.
I'm fairly relaxed about us being relegated as it's what I expected anyway. I think we will go down if we play the season out anyway.
But the principle of it is completely wrong.

37 matches out of 46 played is c 80% If a match is abandoned after c80% 72 minutes the result does not stand - it is replayed (different teams likely)

There is a very good legal battle (with a very good argument I have to say) awaiting should the season not be completed and promotions/relegations happen

    a) Abandoned matches are replayed
    b) The mix of matches still to be played has a bearing
    c) The number of home/away fixtures still to be played also has a bearing
    d) FFP considerations to be taken into account
    e) PPG is fundamentally flawed because of
    i) c) above
ii) PPG is not indicative of future match outcomes (FFC 0 - BFC 3 anyone)
iii) teams coming back playing will have differing squads due to injured players/contracts coming to an end
    f) there is no legal precedent to finish the season now and affecting teams.
    g) I'm sure there are instances where teams have been relegated from mid-table with 20% of the season still to play
If a legal battle ensues then this could impact on the start of next season. How could next season start if, due to the legal process this current season is not finalised then could could next season start?

As I see it there are two possibilities

    a) Finish this season when safe to do so (If need be the next season could be started straight after this one (with a possible mid-winter break)
    b) Declare this season null & void.Start next season when it is safe to do so

EFL is a members club, the members being the clubs. Therefore if 51% of the clubs opt to change the rules it looks as if there is little we could do about it legally.
What I can't get my head around is that this proposal invites clubs with a vested interest in curtailment not to play on. Hull we know about but what's in it for Leeds, West Brom, Brentford, Forest, Preston, Huddersfield, Stoke, Wigan etc to play on. There is a fundamental flaw in this plan.

You don’t get rewarded for positions in Championship like Premier league so that’s another obstacle out way

Not strictly true, from the EFL rules.............

"any League Match which from any cause whatever falls short of 90 (ninety) minutes’ duration may be ordered to count as a completed fixture or be replayed in full or in part on whatever terms and conditions the Board shall in their absolute discretion determine and shall be played in compliance with these Regulations and the Football Association Rules respectively and under the Laws of the Game as approved by the International Football Association Board”.

In other words they'll make it up as they go along, dependent on who it affects.
Pedantic I know, but their legal defence is right there.

The best one in the EFl rules is that the end of the season is when the last game is played.

Great crystal ball you have there. Disagree, Pinnock wouldn't have added much. One player does not make a team.

Not finishing the season may just end my interest in football.

If we go down after not acquiring enough points over 46 games then all well and good. Bring on next season.

Just read up on this and not sure how this can go through except in Championship.
League 2 already voted for no relegation etc so surely the proposal would be lost in that league.
League 1 there are 6 teams within 3 points of second, add into that a couple more who will still fancy the play offs and 3 in relegation places you’re at about 11 out of 23 so if one mid team votes no, that’s done too.
Even the Championship with down to Derby still fancying their chances of playoffs and Fulham for promotion and 3 in bottom 3 also gives you 10, so again only needs 2 others to say no.

Clubs with nowt to play for will want new season to start as soon as , for financial reasons IMO.

As I've said before. There's no reason that the league can't simply be paused and continued when it is safe to do so. It's the only logical solution.

A builder who is 80% through building a house wouldn't knock it down and start again

agree - probably too sensible and logical a solution!
but it should either complete the programme for however long it takes or void things.

Agreed. And neither would he say, "it'll do like that", and start moving his new tenant in.

Try taking a coupon into Ladbroke and demand a pay out based on that, our personal feelings\ predictions based on whatever you want to put in there, does not guarantee an that actual outcome. 27 points to play for, that’s integrity. If not forget it.
