You’ll wait awhile then. Because I can’t be arsed to argue against such indoctrinated stupidity.
    So good ******* luck.

Look mate, where I work (British Car Auctions) in conversation with loads of "working class" (if such a thing exists any more when many of them drive Range Rovers) I know that almost all of them voted leave, not because of European financial contributions or because of world trade etc but ENTIRELY because of free movement of people from Europe coming here to "take their jobs". Xenophobia pure and simple.

The Brexit peddlers lied all the way through the campaign and all the way up until we left.

Everyone knew this was going to happen with the Irish sea, but they pretended it wasn't right up until now.

    THEY LIED TO YOU

And they get away with it again because they've managed, through the media and social media, to turn politics into football support. People aren't interested in the truth, just their side winning.

So you’re tarring everyone with the Xenophobic Brush? I voted leave for many reasons, one was to control our borders, not because I’m xenophobic, but because of the added pressures it puts on the NHS, education etc. You can’t expect 1000’s of people to come into the country and it not effect things like these. For me, if we need workers from Europe to pick fruit and vegetables that’s fine, get them in. No problem with that what so ever. If we need trained nurses, doctors, no problem. At least we get to choose who and when. Surely that isn’t too much to ask?

I bow to your superior knowledge, if only Mr Cameron had asked Nardiello his opinion before having a referendum things might have been different. If I remember correctly both sides lied in equal measures. I didn’t believe the red bus sign for one moment although many did. I also didn’t believe we would go straight into a recession on voting to leave. Like I said, both sides lied, get over it.

It has been proven very clearly for a number of years now, that the Tory party can get away with blatant lies. As others have said already, lies that would have brought down a government in the past. Incidents and scandals are now quietly forgotten about. It’s quite terrifying if you think about it.

I don’t believe the politics of Starmer will see me buzzing to vote for Labour, I’m far too left wing. But of course I’d vote for him over a Tory. And despite the next few years where he will absolutely rinse Johnson at PMQs, it won’t make any real impact on the public. It will be spoken of (like this thread topic) for a day or so and then forgotten. It’s not about rhyme or reason, facts and figures anymore. As the chap above points out perfectly - it’s become some kind of partisan nonsense, like football or whatever.

I’ve a few friends who on Facebook are continually sharing pro-Boris stuff. One of the latest is a photo of him looking stressed and sad. It’s a photo that was taken during the uproar that was him illegally suspending parliament, where he broke the law. But it’s been used to paint a story, to show hard he’s working and to help illustrate a completely untrue narrative.

And it works. One of these Facebook friends is actually a really close friend of mine who I care about deeply. We’ve had many arguments about politics. And he laps all this up and will not be convinced otherwise. He posted a video of Corbyn clapping for the NHS on his street, and criticised him for not social distancing. He should have been on his doorstep apparently. When reminded of Johnson and his social distancing that landed him and others in hospital with the virus, he said it couldn’t have been prevented as he’s PM and had to go visit these places. Corbyn was merely looking for attention.

It’s not about truth anymore. It’s not even proper politics. It’s just tribal nonsense and I am embarrassed and ashamed of our country for how we’ve ended up here.

I don’t care that America has it worse with Trump. Myself and countless others predicted the Tories would oust May and put Poundland Trump in charge here. And the idiots then voted for him. As they did over the pond. Because, and I’ve said it before and can only go on my own life experiences - there are a lot of thick, uneducated people who are easily manipulated. They hurt themselves by empowering those who hate them most.

Like I say, **** the Tories.

That’s the trouble today snowflake, you can’t say anything without being classed as racist.
So are you happy for thousands coming into the country putting pressure on services? People on here bang on about how the NHS is struggling yet don’t mind thousands of extra people coming in. Unbelievable!!

You do know that the plans outlined by Pretty Vacant dont allow for workers from Europe to pick fruit and vegetables for example only high earners will be allowed in in future. I assume you also know that far more people came in from outside the EU - which we did control than from within, and you also know that there has been a sharp fall in Nurses and Doctors from the EU employed in the NHS so all your reasons for voting leave listed above are not met.

Oh dear oh dear how many stereotypical UKIP lies can be ploughed into one post.
Money cut from services is a political decision, immigration actually is a cost benefit.
I work for the government, 12 years in immigration enforcement. Before the massive cuts in 2011 we were adequately staffed and resourced. The cuts made our job a lot tougher. In saying that 99.99999999999999% of all those who enter the UK abide by the rules. Those claiming asylum believe it or not are actually following the rules until a time their claim is resolved. I've interviewed such people routinely, not a nice job.
But I'm sure the Sun and Mail peddlers of hate know more about immigration law and the system than me?!
