So given the vagueness of last night's announcement, is Boris now allowing me to book a short 3 night stay with the Mrs in an Airbnb cottage by the coast next week? There are places on Airbnb that appear ready to do this. As we are both keyworkers mixing with hundreds if not thousands of the public daily, we'd be more isolated than we have been!

Im assuming not, as i'd have thought it would be classed under "hospitality" which isn't due to start til July 1 at earliest. Im supposed to be going on a stag towards end of June in a similar setup - granted not same household- but assuming that will be cancelled now.

That's the bit that kind of makes it pretty not similar tho isn't it.

Me and Laura were taking George to Cayton Bay from 15th to 19th June. I didn't think that would be happening until last nights announcement but there is slight hope now. Although thinking about it more carefully I don't think I'd be comfortable somewhere else that I hadn't seen disinfected or cleaned with George starting to crawl. I might ask for the money back after May 16th. (May 16th was date given to contact the site).

It is still likely to be classed as hospitality so it is similar.

Was just saying we are booked for an airbnb and I made it clear our circumstances were different, but that is irrelevant if hospitality is shut til 1st July and Govt are including Airbnbs for leisure purposes in that.

Not saying you shouldnt be allowed to go as i think you should, but i guess govt will be concerned about contamination risks between bookings as there will be no common standard between lets.

Better safe than sorry. You dont want to spoil the holiday being constantly on guard either. Hopefully next summer you can have a proper, more relaxing first holiday with baby George.

Why would you want to? You can’t be sure how the rooms have been disinfected.

I’m not sure how more exercise has implied that everyone is able to go off to skeggy for ice creams and sunbathing. It just implied you could go out more than once for exercise, and if you were near to a park; you could stop there for a bit... if you stay at least 2m from anyone else.
