German government have given the go ahead to restart this month without fans. Ours will probably follow. Fans and players not pushing for it, mostly the league and journalists.
Whole lot of difference between us and germany: incomparable. We are way way deeper in #### and will be way behind when it comes to football too. I'm far from convinced this will work in Germany either.
I know that....you know that....everybody knows that, but our greed league will use them as an example to push to restart. In my opinion of course Personally agree that I don't think it will work....2 staff members at Monchengladbach tested positive yesterday and it's rumoured up to 12 players.
Still think it’s stupid and pure greed, but let them try it, when it fails at least it stops that idiot Peter Taylor straining his brain.
I keep hearing that the Premier League needs to finish the season to “maintain the integrity of the competition.” What a load of rubbish. This is an industry totally lacking in integrity. When this is all over, hopefully the powers that be might have learnt something about integrity. The football industry is no more important than any other industry that is currently struggling to survive. I think it’s way too soon for any country to be thinking about playing football, particularly our country with its appalling statistics.
They 'need' to finish the season to get their hands on all the TV dosh. They can dress it up how they want, but that's where their motivation is coming from.
I said the same a couple of weeks ago. They wouldn't know what integrity was if it smashed them in the face. The fact that they keep patronising fans in the way they are shows the contempt they hold us in (in my opinion). I don't know who it was but somebody from the FA or PL was on the radio and said that fans up and down the country were clamouring for the league to be restarted and they would do everything they could to give them what they wanted when safe to do so. These people run football. I think it's safe to say that there is a silent 'i' in run.
Being reported that it will restart a week on Friday,15th May, with the Dusseldorf v Paderborn game. So the players and teams have 10 days to get match prepared....nowt like rushing it
Didn’t Hamburg have 2 players test positive as well? Makes you wonder if a team has a case confirmed surely the fixtures for following two weeks can’t be played? What happens then, you could have the rest of the league finished except one team.
I agree that it probably won't work in Germany. Over here though they keep trying despite far higher numbers..,.
