It’s almost like he knew his own model that drove this lockdown was utter ******...

    Mr Ferguson said:

"I acted in the belief that I was immune, having tested positive for coronavirus, and completely isolated myself for almost two weeks after developing symptoms."

"I deeply regret any undermining of the clear messages around the continued need for social distancing to control this devastating epidemic. The Government guidance is unequivocal, and is there to protect all of us."

Which, after being analysed by a team of internationally renowned translators, can be interpreted as meaning, "I look a lot like a rat, I'm batting way above my average, and there's no way I'm passing up the opportunity of getting buffers deep into a bit of that. I'm a human being, and what I recommended was what we should do, not what we will do. We're all going to be dead for an awful long time. Listen to my advice if you like, and waste your blink of an eye existence that you only get once, but I'm fc*ked if I'm going to. For political reasons I'll say I regret it. But I really, really, really don't."

"Professor Lockdown broke lockdown to get his trousers down".

Got to be headline of the year, from The Sun.

Amazed none of them went with Bonking Boffin

On a more serious note. It’s keeping our dreadful failure rate at tacking this disease off the front pages

some might say it’s rather convenient for the government on the day we overtake Italy with the most CV19 deaths.

But our PM hasn't done anything like this ever........how many kids does he have again?
Difference between Boris and Ferguson is one has actual qualifications and experience in a topic which is important the other one doesn't.

What annoys me is why people good at their jobs and top of their profession have to fall on their swords after misdemeanours. Yes they've done wrong but if they're the best in their field give em' a smack on wrist and send them back into the fray.

Must be a media or British mentality.

I think the stance from the beginning should have been for every 500 people lost in Britain, every single politician past and present should lose a finger, then toes, then hand and on and on. They’d have worked together then for the safest solution, you can bet your knackers on it.

If you got a steamy booty call from a femme fatale in the middle of a social distancing lockdown, what would you do?

Edit: In my case I will admit this requires a great leap of imagination.

Convenient for this story to come out and dominate the front pages just as the UK death toll becomes the highest in Europe and the deputy CMO admits that we should have scaled up testing sooner, and that the reason for scrapping community testing in March was about capacity and resource, rather than strategy like we were being told at the time.

What this country has become with way it is governed, and reported in the media really is horrific.

Quite curious how a professor had to resign from an advisory post after breaking the curfew to be with his lover, yet the Prime Minister had a visit from his unmarried partner just after leaving hospital after having treatment for COVID (he should have been isolated for 14 days) to travel to his second residence. And another minister (Jenrick) went to his second home.

It couldn’t possibly be true that the Torygraph has sat on this story waiting for our death toll to rise so far; could it?

I think you are right , she is described in one of the papers as a left wing activist and anti brexiteer , if she was a Tory I’m guessing he would still have a job

Yet Boris `shake hands` Johnson and those cabinet members all huddled together on the front bench who took no notice at the time they were telling others to do it, are still in employment.

    Well I nivver.
