    Mick McCarthy- Barnsley legend. One of my biggest regrets is that I never saw
    big Mick or Ronnie Glavin in the Red shirt of Barnsley.

    Good session - but more conventional but a great listen - You did well Ben considering that you weren't there for his Barnsley career. I was there for most of it from his debut on and think I remember it better than Mick did.

    From the last bit I think we can safely conclude that there is no way he will manage us under the current regime.

    Really enjoyed that. That's the first one I've listened to, but I'll be backtracking through the others now. Top notch interview. Great to hear Mick's memories of the Iley-Clarke-Hunter era, really brought it all back. Well done Ben!

    Another good hour. Mick was not as forthcoming with the juicy bits as some of the previous interviewees but I put that down to him having a great deal of respect for his fellow professionals. He never slags anyone off, even Roy Keane. Didnt really have any funny stories to tell apart from Iley shouting "chipoyle" but again I'd put that down to respect. Looking forward to the next interview.

    Interesting view on Daniel Stendel and the sale of Kieffer Moore plus our promotion winning team. No chance of Mick taking over with this lot being in charge. He knows too much about football and what makes a team successful . Selling your best players is not a philosophy he buys into to. He is not on his oqmemwn on that one.

    Well done again Loko, these interviews are really great and a superb watch. Thanks for asking Mick the two questions I put, chuffed that you did. He definitely was calling Phil Chambers Albie in training, I remember it as vividly as the polythene rustling. Who’d have thought that reason was why they had the bags on under the shorts! Crafty sods lol
