UEFA made it clear yesterday they expect the leagues to complete, so whilst I personally think they should end it, lot of hurdles to get past first.
If the seasons don't end prematurely, then they don't have to scrap the Champions League and Europa League final stages. Wonder how much money they'd lose out if they aren't completed? And even if next seasons will run.
Longer we go without game been played the not likely you feel the season being voided is. I don't think a fair solution exists. Someone is going to lose out in some way.
We'll end the season now but have a think about how we deal with promotion and relegation later. Sounds like a politician's approach to any difficult decision.
Lots of twists and turns to come. Arguments back and forth. Decisions made and undone. At the end of which they'll promote Arsenal.
Did you see the proposal for chanpions league qualification based on coefficient? It would mean Arsenal would get in! Made me think of that infamous promotion straight away.
The leagues aren’t listening to them if they did. Belgium & Netherlands have both chalked fu.ck on it today.
This would be ridiculous if it happened. Arsenal qualifying ahead of Leicester and Chelsea. Bonkers, but in line with the way the Champions League usually makes decisions
Has that been confirmed? Last I heard was Dutch govt said no football before Sept 1st and whilst that makes it difficult it hadn’t been confirmed.
In fairness it wasn't a Ueffa proposal is was one put forward by one of the Associations in Europe. Heard it on the radio today.
