Probably take 3 months. The Cons don't use phones or modern technology now they've begun the process of taking Britain back to 1850. Letter tied to a pigeon.

Yes ... that’s the source of the sarcasm.

they’ve ‘sent’ the RAF to pick up some goods that were ‘on their way’ on Saturday!

I appreciate all days can be the same in these times, but in case you hadn’t realised - it’s now Tuesday evening. :)

    Just out of interest,
Why send a plane with a maximum load of 40 tonnes to collect 84 tonnes of equipment?
Are the RAF sending another plane and just practising social distancing

Watched Tony Blair on GMB this morning. Can't stand the bloke but he did talk sense this morning.

He talked about the lesson to learn from his time dealing with the foot and mouth outbreak is to get the military personnel in with the skills to deal with specific requirements. For all their good intentions, politicians and their civil servant aids don't have those skills and that experience.

For example, I can visualise the govt purchasing of PPE. Lots of lifelong civil servants, without a rush in them, following all process and procedures as in normal times and making sure they have time for lunch. When it needs people with the logistical skills and knowledge of dealing with emergency situations and with, to be frank, the bluster to get stuff done and bugger the processes and procedures, shouting down the phone "I don't give a fkuk, Just Get it done, NOW"
