We are keeping in touch with our boys and other family members via landline and FaceTime, so we get try to get the chance to talk to our grand kids as well during those sessions. In normal times, my wife usually travels over to Donny twice every week to see her Dad who is in his 80's. She normally takes him to the supermarket to do his shopping, but with the lockdown, that task has now fallen to her brother who lives near her Dad. It's a very hard time for us all not being able to see loved ones. Wife was telling me that a neighbour of our son has just had a baby. Her Mum popped along to see the baby for the first time and ensured that she stood looking over the fence a good 5 metres or so away from her daughter and baby. Apparently someone alerted the Police who visited her and reminded her about the rules over social distancing, but opted not take any further action.
I thought I would miss football but I'm not. I miss seeing my family at the games and having a pint and a catch up as part of the day but that's it.
I'm with you on that. Seeing my mates and going for a pint. Catching up with the people who sit around us that we have got to know over the years. Going round my Dads on the Sunday for him to lecture me on the days in the fourth division. It's a lot more than 90 mins watching agame if football.
