Congratulations to Tom Moore for an amazing performance that Yorkshire can be truly proud of. I understand there's a concert on tele tonight to raise even more money for the NHS.

I apologise if this question has been raised before and I can't understand why, if it hasn't. Where is the money going?

Is it going to the families of those who died? Will it be paid as a bonus to NHS staff at the end of this?

Perhaps somebody could tell us where the money is going and it may inspire people to give more.

It's not going direct to the NHS but to nhs charities, such as temporary accommodation for staff, mental health initiatives etc.

As above - it’s not ‘for’ the NHS which will get all the money it needs to operate directly from government.

Its to make up for 10 years of being underfunded I think

Hopefully some of it will go to hospices as they don’t get government funding and are struggling to make ends meet as the charity shops are all closed.

Thanks for that and I hope you’re right. I think there should be an announcement and maybe there will be tonight. Just don’t want it to go to fill the hole that Osborne dug for 10 years.
