Best - Birmingham in play offs the noise prior to us hammering them was deafening Worst - reading every time I go it’s shocking
Best - when we won 2-1 against Leeds in 2010 Worst - playing Blackpool in the cup during their boycott, very very weird being in a stadium so empty
Great atmosphere at Wigan last game of season which we won to get in play offs. Was talking to fozzie prior to the game which made it even better. Top lad fozzie i even forgave him for chosing to go to Burnley before us.
Going to hillsbro late 70s early 80s was a good Atmos when it was standing below and in corner, huddes away last game up there,Grimsby at home in 79
Best - 0-0 at Liverpool January 1982. Worst - 2-2 at Millwall (at the old Den, Cold Blow Lane) February 1980.
For me, the best was 2-2 at Huddersfield (the great escape) The worst - playoff semi v Birmingham (fabulous game & result) but had to endure bricks & bottles raining down on me & my 2 teenage kids whilst crouching behind a wall (incidentally, my daft daughter was on the phone to her mum during this- it’s fair to say that, when we got home, she wasn’t happy with me)
Worst away ... Grimsby. The day we were losing 6-0 or something at half time and our fans were fighting to get out !
Best, 1500 reds tucked in the open terrace/pen of the Lowfield stand at Elland Road, late April 1990. Absolutely electric atmosphere, during and after the game. Turning the game around to win 2-1, and Taggart putting Mel Sterland over the perimeter wall in a 50/50. I say 50/50, there was only going to be one winner. Nights like that are some of the sweetest in football, it's not all about trophies, titles etc. Worst - several to choose from, I can't single one out at the moment!
The most memorable day was Clint Marcel scoring the goal against Bradford, Wot a game, night, week year, FANTASTIC TIMES.
