My girlfriend used to share a house with a woman who had two cats called Sasha and Digweed (mid 90s). I couldn't fill the back of a postage stamp with what I know about dance music, but whenever you post a link to a set from John Digweed it takes me back and makes me smile.

Haha there’s loads of stories like that mate.

There’s a load of clubbers that are Called Sasha because their drug taking parents loved Sasha in the 90s.

Saw a few of those at the Hacienda back in the day. Mostly went to Leeds Warehouse & the Gallery, but made the trip over there a few times. K-Klass played at the Gallery a few times.

Excellent stuff from Diggers, he always delivers the goods.
I listened to this from Sasha yesterday while building gabions in the garden Neighbours looking on absolutely baffled at me punching the air and grinning like a mad man. The section just after the hour mark is superb.

I booked and played with Sasha last year which was a huge moment for me.

The mans a genius but he does have his moments of absolute mentalness. I ended up with quite a few stories from the 24 hours I spent with him.

Haha - I've heard likewise from a few others. I remember seeing him somewhat the worse for wear at the end of night at Cream. How the hell he was still mixing in key is beyond me.

I wonder if that's why my missus's parents called her Sasha.....

Only went to the Hacienda twice, seemed like it was from another world!

We usually went through to BYO at donny around 91 and then The orbit nights at Afterdark in Morley, class around 92 to 94

Orbit was mental. Utterly mental. Like Satan coming down on the sound system. They got incredible DJ's - Jeff Mills, Dave Clark, Surgeon, DJ Hell to name just a few. Can't remember if I heard Richie Hawtin there (or somewhere else - the memories blur!)

I'm a bit too young to have visited the Hacienda, but the recordings, photos and accounts from people who did go make it sound absolutely incredible.

Orbit was a great club, it used to be in Ossett before Morley. There are some brutal Surgeon mixes on line from there. I had to be in the mood for techno that hard these days, but they are great if you are doing a gym session.
