we all know its an horrendous situation, you do not need to do a slow ,over dramatic voice over, its doing my head in and stopping me watching the news, some of their voices are that painful I could cry, sorry for moan but the media is so bad, Martin Bashir is my number one hit the mute a s a p, just talk reasonably normal man

Almost 1000 deaths today. Dramatic and tragic.

yes I know, its bad enough knowing thats happened, think its best for me to not watch the news, effecting my mental ,just making it worse for me how slow and deliberate they announce it ,dont want them to be all happy but 1000 deaths speaks for itself

I listen to the Downing Street briefings and the advice of the 'experts' and find that they are saying nothing - clearly casualty figures are reasonably accurate but the rest is just waffle.

I wonder just how confident the 'experts' are that this virus can be completely eliminated.

One thing I can be certain of is that if you think they’re reporting the numbers of deaths from Coronavirus- they’re dramatically wrong.

and where have you heard anyone suggest the virus can be eliminated?

I've stopped watching the briefings. I know we are in a complete state without wall to wall tv commentary on it. First 10 minutes of the news at 10 is enough for me at the moment.

    Totally agree.

Stopped watching all but the evening bulletin 2 weeks ago.

Sky’s giant virus image emitting its spore under the global emergency I can well do without too.

Reporters for me should relate factually accurate information within the context of the subject matter. Clearly, concisely and calmly.

Far too many drama queens who see themselves as star of the show.

I find Robert Peston particularly irksome, a studied, faux eccentric who takes forever to say very little.
