TT, you are off your rocker, breadcrumbs do not belong anywhere near a fish cake unless they are frozen and from Captain Birdseye
OK Wife agrees 100% but wants clarification on snickets and ginnels. She states..... Ginnels are covered and Snickets are not!! do you agree?
I have to admit I may have slipped up on that one. I bow to your missus. Our lass had a ginnel. At the side of her mams house. Old age creeping up mate.
Both have dog **** at either end and usually on any bend under a street lamp. 'ginnell is man made', 'snicket is a rough thoroughfare '
She who must be obeyed says she has heard of them but - shock horror!! .... did not know what one was... Wiki says...A scuffler is a word in Yorkshire dialect originating from the Castleford area meaning a large bread cake. This bread is always baked in a roughly triangular shape and is similar to the Northern stottie, but lighter. Being originally from Castleford probably explains it. Foreign muck!!
I think the triangular shape bit is correct but no mention of the surface been pricked by a fork. I'm sure that's to do with making them rise when placed in front of the fire.
Correct...but just a minor point...snicket's often have bushes at the side that the socially responsible people, ie those who pick up the dogs dump at the end of the ginnel....then hang the black bag when out of sight of the neighbours.
